Story Of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Announced For The Nintendo Switch in 2021

During the recent Nintendo Direct Mini, it was announced that a new Bokujo Monogatari game would be released soon. XSEED Games confirmed they would be localizing the game as Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town on social media.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will be the first original title in the series to launch on the Nintendo Switch. While Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town was released this Summer, it was a remake of the Game Boy Advance game.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will contain two playable protagonists to choose from. Inspired by their grandfather’s stories about his old pioneering days, the budding farmer decides to leave their city life and move to the frontier in Olive Town.

After arriving in the town, the protagonist meets the town’s mayor and grandfather’s old friend, Victor. He brings them to the old farm, which has not been maintained in several years. However, the protagonist is determined to bring new life into the old farm and revive their grandfather’s dream.

Minecraft Dungeons’s Upcoming DLC, Creeping Winter DLC, Will Add New Achievements

Olive Town is located near the farm and on a peninsula. The small town is host to several characters, some of which will provide a bit of romance. Similar to other games in the series, players can choose one of these eligible bachelors or bachelorettes to marry and raise a family with.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will give players more freedom to customize their farm down to the ground titles. Farmers will also have to spend lots of time in the wilderness and collecting necessary resources to rebuild old buildings and create new ones. Players can also take requests from Olive Town residents and improve their town.

The game will be a good stepping stone for those who haven’t played a Story of Seasons game before. There are two modes. Seedling Mode is for beginners and offers more gold and items from the start. Normal mode is for veterans who already know what to do with some changes to the gameplay.

Olive Town offers even more activities to do. Players can fish or participate in various events. The new game will have over 200 unique events, which will offer more than previous games.

The trailer for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town also shows that mining is back. Players can head to the mine to collect valuable ores and more to upgrade tools. Ore is also used to build helpful items, like automatic feeders for livestock and sprinklers for crops.

A 64-Bit Release Of The Sims 3 Is Now Available For Mac Players

Since early 2020, The Sims team has been announcing more information regarding the re-release of The Sims 3 on Mac systems. The re-release is now available.

After the launch of Catalina, Mac users were no longer able to play The Sims 3. This has upset many Mac players, especially if they own all TS3 content, who are unhappy with the state of TS4 and want to return to the previous game.

EA has been working on re-releasing The Sims 3 so that new and old Mac players can once again enjoy the game. The game will not re-release as an update but as an entirely “new” game, which is why players will need to re-download it. TS3 will be updated to support 64-Bit and Metal. This also explains why many Origin players who own the game have seen an update available.

The Sims team has been updating what’s going on behind the scenes, along with an extensive FAQ. One of the most popular questions is regarding when the update will roll out.

EA Sports UFC 4 Is Offering Brock Lesnar For Free For A Limited Time

The statement by MaxisJoe first states that players should back up their The Sims 3 saves. Backing up saves is often recommended before any major update.

The Sims 3 and all of its DLC is slowly appearing in Origin, even though there is nothing available to download yet. The developer states this is one of the last steps before the content is released and is expected.

Those who already own the game will receive the 64-bit version free. It will be available in “My Library.” Anyone who purchases it in the future will have access to the new macOS version.

Those who own it on disc will have to register their game with EA through The Sims 3 website. After the update is out, they will have to download the 64-bit version. If they already registered it and didn’t see it in their Origin account, they will need to double-check which email was used to register the product.

Last, there is no update for Windows players, and no 64-bit version is planned for the future. This major re-release will only be for Mac players. No news, including a roadmap, is available for Windows players.

Most importantly:

This new version is a compatibility release which adds support for 64-bit, Apple’s Metal graphics API, and makes the application a fully native macOS app. It is not a Remaster or Remake of The Sims 3. This update of The Sims 3 also switches from OpenGL to Apple’s Metal graphics API, changes significantly how data is managed with the game service, where files are stored within the macOS file system, and has been updated to be a native macOS application.
